Job summary

Codersh is seeking an experienced WordPress + Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain e-commerce and content websites. You’ll handle both platforms end-to-end, from custom theme/plugin development to store setup, integrations, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities include theme/plugin development, Shopify store builds, API integrations, migrations, and security. A strong portfolio and 2+ years experience are required; remote-friendly, hybrid option in India with growth

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on WordPress and Shopify development.
• Portfolio of live WordPress and Shopify projects required.
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes/plugins and Shopify themes/apps.
• Build and maintain Shopify stores (product setup, checkout, apps, integrations).
• Convert designs into responsive, pixel-perfect pages for both platforms.
• Write custom Liquid and PHP code as needed.
• Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and marketing tools.
• Manage migrations, backups, and security.
• Troubleshoot bugs across both platforms.
• Mentor junior developers on the team.
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement features.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress + Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain e-commerce and content websites. You’ll handle both platforms end-to-end, from custom theme/plugin development to store setup, integrations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes/plugins and Shopify themes/apps
• Build and maintain e-commerce stores on Shopify (product setup, checkout, apps, integrations)
• Convert design mockups into responsive, pixel-perfect pages on both platforms
• Write custom Liquid (Shopify) and PHP (WordPress) code as needed
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and marketing tools
• Manage website/store migrations, backups, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs across both platforms
• Mentor junior developers on the team
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement features

Required Skills

• Strong experience with WordPress (custom themes/plugins) and Shopify (Liquid, theme customization)
• Experience with Shopify apps, APIs, and the Shopify CLI
• Familiarity with MySQL and Shopify’s data structure
• Understanding of responsive design and performance optimization
• Solid Git/version control experience
• Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery) and Shopify page builders (GemPages, PageFly)

Good to Have

• Experience with WooCommerce alongside Shopify
• Knowledge of headless commerce (Shopify Hydrogen, WordPress REST API)
• Familiarity with Tailwind/Bootstrap
• Experience with app development for Shopify App Store
• Basic DevOps/hosting (cPanel, AWS) knowledge

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
• Good client/stakeholder communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
