Job summary

Andamen is seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to build, optimize, and maintain its premium Shopify storefront. You will work closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Technology teams to craft high-performing ecommerce experiences that drive conversions and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development, strong HTML/CSS skills, and deep knowledge of Shopify 2.0, APIs, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Shopify development experience.
• Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive web development.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Online Store 2.0 and APIs.
• Experience integrating third-party apps and custom APIs.
• Understanding of performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop storefronts, reusable components, and custom sections for Andamen's Shopify store.

Role Overview

As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Andamen's Shopify storefront. Beyond writing clean, scalable code, you'll work closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Technology teams to build experiences that improve conversion, performance, and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of ecommerce customer journeys and modern UI/UX principles.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Development

• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components.
• Develop custom sections, snippets, templates, meta field-driven experiences, and theme extensions.
• Optimize storefront performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and SEO.

Customer Experience & Conversion Optimization

• Understand customer behaviour across the complete ecommerce journey—from landing page to checkout.
• Build intuitive shopping experiences that improve engagement and conversion.
• Implement features such as:
• Product Listing Page improvements
• Search & Filters
• Collection Pages
• Navigation & Menus
• Upsell & Cross-sell journeys
• Promotional experiences
• Mobile-first shopping experiences

Shopify Ecosystem

Work extensively with Shopify integrations, including:

• Shopify Admin APIs
• Storefront APIs
• Shopify Functions
• Shopify Flow
• Customer Accounts
• Shopify Markets
• Checkout Extensibility
• Pixel Events
• App Integrations
• Webhooks
• Collaborate with Product Designers to build pixel-perfect interfaces.
• Translate Figma designs into responsive, high-quality Shopify experiences.
• Recommend UX improvements based on customer behaviour and ecommerce best practices.
• Ensure consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Performance & Engineering Excellence

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering best practices.
• Identify bottlenecks and continuously optimize website performance.
• Debug production issues efficiently.
• Follow Git-based development workflows.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• HTML5
• CSS3 / SCSS
• Responsive Web Development
• Excellent understanding of Shopify Online Store 2.0.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs and app integrations.
• Experience integrating third-party applications and custom APIs.
• Understanding of performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with premium D2C or fashion ecommerce brands.
• Knowledge of GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, and ecommerce tracking.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
• Experience with headless commerce is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Node.js or backend integrations.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or ChatGPT.
