E2M Solutions is looking for an experienced Shopify Backend Developer to join our team in Ahmedabad, India. The role emphasizes robust backend functionality, API integrations, and store migrations, with a focus on Shopify GraphQL Admin API, REST API, and webhooks.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands-on Shopify development, plus experience with Checkout UI Extensions and third‑party apps. On-site night shift (IST 6:30 PM–2:30 AM) is required.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on Shopify development, backend-focused.
• Strong experience with Shopify GraphQL Admin API, REST API and webhooks.
• Experience with Checkout UI Extensions and third-party app integrations.
• Knowledge of store migrations from WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento.

Responsibilities

• Work with GraphQL Admin API, REST API, and webhooks for integrations.
• Implement Checkout UI Extensions and related checkout functionality.
• Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps (Recharge, Klaviyo, Search & Discovery).
• Customize Shopify themes, Liquid templates, sections, and frontend functionality as needed.
• Handle store migrations from legacy platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot shipping rules and payment gateways.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA, and PMs.
• Use Git, Shopify CLI, and AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and deliver scalable Shopify solutions.

About the Role

E2M Solutions is looking for an experienced Shopify Backend Developer with 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in Shopify development.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Shopify APIs, third‑party integrations, checkout extensions, backend functionality, and store migrations.

Candidates with full‑stack development experience will have an added advantage, particularly those comfortable working on both Shopify backend functionality and frontend customizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Shopify GraphQL Admin API, REST API, and webhooks for integrations and automation.
• Implement Shopify Checkout UI Extensions and checkout‑related functionality where supported.
• Integrate and configure third‑party Shopify apps, including Recharge, Klaviyo, Search & Discovery, shipping, and payment solutions.
• Customize Shopify themes, Liquid templates, sections, and frontend functionality as required.
• Handle Shopify store migrations from WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and other platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot shipping rules, payment gateways, and other Shopify settings.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA, and project managers.
• Use Git, Shopify CLI, and AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver scalable Shopify solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience with Shopify development, particularly backend functionality.
• Experience with Shopify GraphQL Admin API, REST API, and webhooks.
• Experience with Shopify Checkout UI Extensions and third‑party integrations.
• Understanding of Shopify app integrations and backend workflows.
• Experience with Shopify theme customization and feature development.
• Knowledge of shipping configurations, payment integrations, and store migrations.
• Familiarity with Shopify CLI, Git, debugging, and deployment workflows.
• Good communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site during the 6:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST night shift.

Good to Have – Full Stack Skills

Candidates with the following additional skills will be preferred:

• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, React.js, or similar frameworks.
• Experience developing frontend components and integrating them with backend APIs.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with custom Shopify apps or embedded app development.
• Understanding of authentication, API security, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in an agency environment and managing multiple Shopify projects.
