Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in blast furnace operations or heavy manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or shift leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all blast furnace shift activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor and control blast furnace operations (temperature, pressure, feed rates) to maintain optimal conditions.
• Ensure strict safety and environmental compliance for a safe workplace.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective activities to minimize downtime.
• Analyze operational data and generate shift reports highlighting performance and deviations.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shift personnel to meet production targets.
• Respond promptly to operational emergencies and troubleshoot issues to restore operations quickly.
• Collaborate with quality control and engineering to resolve production challenges and apply best practices.
• Document and record all shift activities and maintenance work.
