Job summary

Sonata Software in Bengaluru/Bangalore (India) seeks an experienced SharePoint Lead to design and implement enterprise-scale Document Management Systems on SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365. You will architect information taxonomy, metadata models, and governance frameworks while guiding delivery teams.

The role demands 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and DMS implementations, with strong focus on SPFx, Graph API, and Azure integrations to enable scalable

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 and enterprise DMS implementations.
• Strong expertise in SharePoint architecture, information architecture, taxonomy, content types, and metadata management.
• Experience designing scalable Document Management Systems with document lifecycle, versioning, retention, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API for SharePoint document, list, metadata, and permission operations.
• Hands-on experience with SPFx and React-based SharePoint & teams development and extensions.
• Experience building API layers using Azure Functions/App Services and REST APIs to abstract SharePoint integrations.

Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Document Management Solution Lead to design and implement enterprise-scale Document Management Systems (DMS) on SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365.

Key Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 and enterprise DMS implementations.
• Strong expertise in SharePoint architecture, information architecture, taxonomy, content types, and metadata management.
• Experience designing scalable Document Management Systems with document lifecycle, versioning, retention, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API for SharePoint document, list, metadata, and permission operations.
• Hands-on experience with SPFx (SharePoint Framework) and React-based SharePoint & teams development and extensions.
• Experience building API layers using Azure Functions/App Services and REST APIs to abstract SharePoint integrations.
• Expertise in Azure API Management and secure API integration patterns.
• Experience using Azure Cosmos DB for business metadata persistence and synchronization with SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Azure Blob Storage for document archival, lifecycle management, and cost-optimized storage tiers.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, managed identities, and SharePoint security models.
• Experience integrating SharePoint with Azure services including Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization for large-scale SharePoint repositories and Graph API integrations.
• Experience defining SharePoint governance, security, provisioning, and content management standards.
• Ability to lead solution design, mentor technical teams, and conduct architecture reviews.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with experience translating business requirements into enterprise SharePoint solutions.
