Job summary

Intelliswift in Pune is seeking an experienced SFG Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in file transmission protocols and IBM Sterling File Gateway environments.

You will manage, upgrade, and optimize SFG ecosystems, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence across enterprise deployments, including Connect:Direct integrations. The role requires strong Linux/AIX, shell scripting, and encryption skill sets.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in file transmission and IBM SFG environments.
• Deep expertise in AIX/Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of SFG components: B2Bi, SSP, SEAS, Secure+ and perimeter server configurations.

Responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade, and optimize IBM Sterling File Gateway environments.
• Implement and optimize secure file transmission systems with IBM SFG and Connect:Direct.
• Plan, test, and execute version upgrades and patches for SFG components including B2Bi, SSP, SEAS.
• Support developers and business users in a consulting capacity.
• Troubleshoot priority incidents and drive blameless RCAs.
• Maintain strong encryption standards (PGP, GPG, TLS, SSH, PKI).

A highly skilled Transmissions Engineer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in file transmission protocols and industry-standard tools, specializing in the administration, upgrade, and optimization of IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) environments. Proven ability to independently manage complex infrastructure tasks while ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence.

Implement and optimize secure file transmission systems across enterprise environments involving IBM SFG, Connect:Direct

Independently plan, test, and execute version upgrades and patches for SFG B2Bi, Secure Proxy (SSP), SEAS, and related components.

Support application developers and business users in a consulting role.

Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless RCAs.

Strong understanding of encryption standards including PGP, GPG, cipher suites, PKI, TLS and SSH.
