Summary

Our organization is looking for a committed Automation Engineer to spearhead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of resilient automation frameworks within cloud and infrastructure environments. This role focuses on optimizing infrastructure provisioning, managing system configurations, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and improving overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will partner closely with ServiceNow and Cloud teams to build fully automated, approval-driven systems that effectively manage both infrastructure and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation strategies using Ansible for orchestration and configuration management, combined with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning as code.
  
• Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and Git-based workflows.
  
• Develop and enhance automation scripts in PowerShell for Windows and Active Directory contexts, as well as Shell scripts where applicable.
  
• Lead the automation of end-user support processes, cloud resource allocation, and infrastructure scaling or remediation initiatives.
  
• Integrate automation workflows with ServiceNow for request processing and approval execution, while connecting with monitoring and alerting systems.
  
• Ensure all automated solutions comply with security standards, maintain idempotency, are fully documented, and are prepared for production release.
  
• Participate in strategic planning sessions concerning AI-assisted and agentic automation possibilities.
  
• Troubleshoot automation failures and implement strategies to improve overall system reliability.
  

Requirements

• Hold 3 to 8 years of professional experience in infrastructure or cloud automation.
  
• Demonstrate advanced hands-on proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, and PowerShell.
  
• Possess a verified history of working within Azure environments and automating Active Directory operations.
  
• Exhibit strong capabilities in infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and adherence to CI/CD best practices.
  
• Understand fundamental Infrastructure as Code concepts, enterprise security protocols, and access control mechanisms.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in integrating automation workflows with ServiceNow.
  
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps methodologies.
  
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
