Job summary

Michael Page seeks a Senior ServiceNow Developer in India to lead advanced platform development, integrations, and configurations across ITSM/ITOM/CMDB. You will contribute to design discussions, mentor less experienced developers, and collaborate with a globally distributed team to deliver complex solutions.

The role requires hands-on ServiceNow experience, server- and client-side scripting, and strong communication in English, within a fast-paced DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant IT experience with at least 5 years hands-on ServiceNow development.
• Senior-level ServiceNow development with track record of complex customisations and integrations.
• Deep hands-on expertise in ServiceNow platform development including scripting and applications.
• Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, CMDB and Discovery within ServiceNow.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, MID Server, API authentication and error handling.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, reuse, performance, security and maintainability.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery with structured release and testing processes.
• Ability to contribute to technical design discussions and mentor junior developers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a globally distributed team.
• Fluent English is required; CSA/CAD certs preferred; CIS certifications advantageous.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in senior developer roles.
• Proven senior-level ServiceNow development experience with a strong track record of delivering complex customisations, configurations and integrations.
• Deep hands-on expertise in ServiceNow platform development, including server-side scripting, client-side scripting, scoped applications, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and automation capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and core platform areas such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB and Discovery.
• Strong integration experience using REST, SOAP, MID Server, API authentication, error handling and supportable integration patterns.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, reuse, performance, security, maintainability and testability.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models, including structured release, testing and promotion processes across instances.
• Ability to contribute to technical design and feasibility discussions and mentor less experienced developers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a globally distributed team across time zones.
• Fluent English is required.

ServiceNow certifications such as CSA and CAD are strongly preferred. Relevant CIS certifications for ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery or IntegrationHub will be an advantage
