Job summary

The WIKA Group in India is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install loadcells, configure weighing indicators, and perform on-site commissioning. You will troubleshoot readings, verify accuracy, and support trials at customer sites.

Candidate should have a Diploma/BE/BTECH in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering and 1–5 years of field service experience. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTECH in Electrical, Electronics Instrumentation or Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of relevant field service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install loadcells per application requirements.
• Configure and commission weighing indicators/transmitters.
• Carry out system commissioning after installation.
• Verify performance with test weights or reference loads.
• Ensure readings meet accuracy and repeatability.
• Support customer during trial runs and acceptance tests.
• Assist with basic communication checks and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose issues related to loadcells, indicator scaling, mounting or mechanical constraints.
• Provide corrective actions and service support after site visits.

Responsibilities

• Install Loadcells (Compression, tension, bending beam, shear beam, load pins, tension links, etc.) as per application requirements.
• Configure and commission weighing indicators/transmitters.
• Carry out system commissioning after installation.
• Verify performance using test weights or reference loads.
• Ensure readings meet accuracy and repeatability requirements.
• Support customer during trial runs and acceptance tests.
• Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols such as RS-232, RS485, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet (not mandatory). Assist customer with basic communication checks and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose issues related to loadcells, indicator scaling, mounting or mechanical constraints.
• Identify whether a problem is sensor related, electronics related or machine related.
• Provide corrective actions and service support after site visits.

Job Profile

• Diploma/BE/BTECH in Electrical, Electronics Instrumentation or Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑5 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
