Job summary

Schindler India in Ludhiana is seeking a Service Engineer to perform maintenance, repairs and small modernizations on customer equipment, while managing a service route and ensuring safety and reliability. You will respond to call backs and be available for coverage during nights, weekends and holidays, and document all activities in the Field Link system.

Ideal candidates have an EE background with relevant experience; a Diploma or ITI in electrical/electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least four years as Technician in EE industry (ITI) and two years for Diploma holder.
• Education in electronics, electricity, mechanics and hydraulics.
• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the assigned service route and organize time to maximize safety and reliability of equipment.
• Respond to call backs in a timely manner and be available for coverage during regular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Perform service, repairs and small modernizations following Schindler standards and safety policies.
• Keep the customer informed about equipment condition, repairs and modernizations.
• Complete all required data inputs (time, parts usage, call back reporting, maintenance and repair reports).

Service Engineer (Customer Engineer/ Sr. Customer Engineer/ Team Lead- Service and Maintenance)

Your main responsibilities

The Customer Engineer creates operational added value through the performance of maintenance, repairs and small modernizations on customers equipment in an efficient, effective and professional manner in order to provide outstanding customer service following the safety rules. Key responsibilities include: Take responsibility for the assigned service route and organize his time to complete the assigned visits and the specific tasks within each visit in order to maximize the safety and reliability of the equipment. Respond to all call backs that are assigned in a timely manner and be available for call back coverage during regular work hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Perform all service, repairs and small modernizations according to the Schindler standards, including safety policies. Keep the customer informed regarding the condition of his equipment, preventive and corrective repairs and discretionary repairs or modernizations. Complete all required data inputs in a diligent and honest fashion; these include time reporting, parts usage, call back reporting, maintenance performance and repair and modernization work reports in Field Link.
