Atlas Copco in Chennai seeks a service engineer to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering professional engineering and on-site service for power tools. You will diagnose issues, install and commission tools, source parts, calibrate equipment, and conduct maintenance to maximize service value.

The role requires 4–6 years in engineering, strong teamwork, and the ability to work independently. English proficiency is essential, with local language knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Fair English language proficiency is essential.

• 4–6 years of engineering experience in an engineering environment.

Responsabilités

• Carry out day-to-day service functions and resolve issues in the assigned territory/customer area.
• Provide full and professional tool service at customer premises when required.
• Diagnose performance issues of Atlas Copco power tools and rectify as needed.
• Carry out installation and commissioning of tools where required.
• Identify and source spare parts and consumables for tool repair.
• Calibrate, test and certify power tool products per standard procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all power tool products.
• Generate technical reports on service provided at site.
• Conduct pre-delivery testing and site installation as appropriate.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and maintain flexible working attitude.
• Hands-on PLC experience is an added advantage.
• Generate leads for service sales revenue and own business development at allocated customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by collaborating with all levels of the customer.

Job Purpose

To ensure customer satisfaction by providing professional engineering and support service inline to organizational commitment and maximize the value and profitability of our service business with sustainability

Key Responsibilities

• To carry out the day-to-day function of the service related jobs and resolve the issues in the specified territory/customer allocated in the region
• To provide full and professional tools service at customer’s premises where necessary
• To diagnose problematic and inefficient performance of all Atlas Copco power tools products and take appropriate action to rectify performance
• To carry out the Installation & commissioning of tools whenever required
• To identify and source spare parts and consumables required for the repair of tools
• To carry out calibration, testing and certification of all Atlas Copco power tool products, according to standard procedures
• To determine and undertake all necessary preventative maintenance on all power tool products
• To generate technical reports on service provided at site
• To carry out pre delivery testing and inspection of tools as appropriate prior to delivery / site installation
• To undertake ad-hoc projects as required.
• To incorporate Flexible attitude to working out of normal as and when required.
• Hands on PLC experience is an added advantage
• To generate leads for service sales revenue and to take ownership of complete business development at allocated customers
• Ensure customer satisfaction by closely working with all the levels of customer thus by ensuring the end goals are met.
  

Experience Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

Essential

Good engineering skills, with at least 4-6 years’ experience in an Engineering environment
High degree of flexibility.
Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with both customers and colleagues
Self motivated
Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Educational Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering
PC Literacy
Fair English Language proficiency is essential
Local Language Knowledge will be preferred
