Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager for HPC & ITIL/ITSM to drive end-to-end HPC service delivery for researchers. You will bridge research and IT, oversee compute clusters, storage, and software stacks, and guide expansion aligned with the roadmap.

You will lead projects, manage budgets, and ensure security and compliance. The role requires substantial HPC expertise, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable solutions for pharmaceutical/biotech research

Qualifications

• 13 to 15 years of professional experience.
• Large-scale HPC environment management experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Deep HPC architecture knowledge, cluster management and parallel file systems.
• Knowledge of high-speed interconnects and job scheduling.
• Strong PM and leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This role acts as a bridge between research and IT departments, ensuring seamless operation, optimization and strategic evolution of the HPC environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of HPC infrastructure, including compute clusters, storage systems and software stack
• Collaborate with research and development teams to understand computational needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Lead projects for expansion and enhancement of HPC capabilities, managing timelines, budgets and resources
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for HPC, staying updated on emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and quantum computing
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations
• Provide user support and develop training programs for researchers
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data privacy standards and internal security policies

Requirements

• 13 to 15 years of overall professional experience
• Proven experience managing large-scale HPC environments, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or research-intensive industries
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific discipline
• Deep understanding of HPC architecture, cluster management and parallel file systems
• Knowledge of high-speed interconnects and job scheduling
• Strong project management and leadership skills with excellent communication abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
