Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks an experienced Service Delivery Manager for HPC and ITIL/ITSM to lead end-to-end delivery of HPC services and solutions. You will bridge research and IT, driving operation, optimization and strategic evolution of the HPC stack.

Responsibilities include overseeing compute clusters, storage, and software, guiding expansion projects, and aligning with research teams. You will ensure compliance, manage budgets, and develop researcher training to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

• 13 to 15 years of overall professional experience in IT/engineering leadership.
• Proven track record managing large-scale HPC environments, preferably in research or pharma settings.
• Strong understanding of HPC architecture, cluster management and parallel file systems.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

• Collaborate with research and development teams to understand computational needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Lead projects for expansion and enhancement of HPC capabilities, managing timelines, budgets and resources
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for HPC, staying updated on emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and quantum computing
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations
• Provide user support and develop training programs for researchers
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data privacy standards and internal security policies

Requirements

• 13 to 15 years of overall professional experience
• Proven experience managing large-scale HPC environments, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or research-intensive industries
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific discipline
• Deep understanding of HPC architecture, cluster management and parallel file systems
• Knowledge of high-speed interconnects and job scheduling
• Strong project management and leadership skills with excellent communication abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
