Job summary

Sulzer in Chennai, India seeks an experienced professional to manage the service center operations and drive maintenance planning. The role requires strong knowledge of machine shop operations, rotating equipment, and servicing procedures for turbines, pumps, compressors and valves.

You will coordinate with production teams, implement process improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Strong understanding of machine shop operations and servicing procedures for turbines, pumps, compressors and valves.
• Experience with service operation tools, data management and cross-functional communication; SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the service center, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and meeting customer expectations.
• Drive process discipline, improve operational efficiency, ensure accurate system transactions independently, and support service execution through planning and coordination.

• Strong understanding of machine shop operations, rotating equipment (turbines & pumps), compressors & valves servicing procedures.
• Strong operational excellence capabilities, good understanding of processes, service operational tools, data management, and cross-functional communication ( SAP knowledge preferred)
