Job summary

Starline Cinemas in Madurai is seeking a Service Associate to deliver an outstanding guest experience across cinema operations. You will assist with tickets, seating and F&B, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a busy theatre environment.

The role welcomes freshers and requires basic English and Tamil, good communication, and a team-oriented attitude. Rotational shifts including evenings and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Freshers can be considered; prior experience in cinema, hospitality, retail, F&B or customer service is an advantage.
• Minimum qualification: 10th/12th pass; graduates may apply.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic English and Tamil communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a polite and professional manner.
• Check tickets and guide guests to the appropriate screen and seats.
• Assist customers with ticketing, bookings, seating and general enquiries.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve routine issues promptly or escalate as needed.
• Support F&B counter operations, including taking orders, billing and serving food/beverages where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, seating areas, restrooms and other customer-facing areas.
• Ensure guests have a comfortable and safe cinema experience.
• Assist during movie show start/end, crowd movement and peak-hour operations.
• Follow company SOPs relating to customer service, hygiene, safety and cash/POS handling.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, security and theatre operations teams.
• Support promotional activities, special screenings and events when required.
• Maintain professional grooming, punctuality and workplace discipline.
• Perform other operational duties assigned by the Theatre Manager/Supervisor.
