Job summary

Fourdtech in Bengaluru is seeking a Server Engineer to manage enterprise server infrastructure. You will monitor server and storage performance, ensure uptime, and perform planned changes through formal change management.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years hands-on experience, MCSE/Azure certification preferred, and strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Veeam, and virtualization (Nutanix). University degree required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience as a server engineer in an enterprise infrastructure.
• Preferred MCSE / Azure Cloud certification or higher.
• Good communication skills.
• University degree.
• Technical knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and patching.
• Knowledge in virtualization (Nutanix), NAS storage and Azure Cloud technologies.
• Good vendor and peer management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Server and Storage performance using a monitoring tool.
• Act on pre-configured thresholds and remediate server components.
• Ensure 100% server uptime for end users.
• Execute periodic maintenance to minimize server downtime.
• Execute planned changes to server infrastructure through Change Management.
• Maintain Server Infra Inventory and configuration per standards.
• Provide Level-1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Server Device Asset Management (Asset Inventory, Support Contracts, Vendor Escalation Matrix).
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Configure and install server devices and services (Windows OS, IIS, SQL, NAS, Nutanix).
• Perform server maintenance and upgrades including service packs, patches and backups.
• Execute server DR testing per defined DR Policy.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutions.

Engineer Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Monitor Server and Storage performance based on Utilization and Availability using Monitoring tool
• Act upon pre-configured threshold breach with respect to Utilization and Availability of server components and remediate
• Ensure 100% Server uptime for end users
• Execute periodic Maintained activity to minimize Server downtime
• Execute planned changes to server infrastructure to enhance server performance / security posture through Change Management process
• Maintain Server Infra Inventory and configuration as per standards
• Provide Level-1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Server Device Asset Management (Asset Inventory, Support Contract, Vendor Escalation Matrix)
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
