Job summary

New Tech Bridge Solutions Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Server Management Administrator to handle Linux-based server operations and cloud integration. The role demands strong ITIL-aligned incident and change management and hands-on experience with SUSE Pacemaker clusters.

You will manage DNS, SAMBA/AutoFS/CIFS/FTP permissions, and perform upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting. SAP interest and travel readiness are valuable assets for this position.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Server Management Administration.
• Profound Linux OS operations experience.
• Cloud technology experience (Azure, GCP or AWS).
• Knowledge in SUSE Pacemaker cluster; troubleshooting Pacemaker cluster issues.
• Awareness of ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management.
• DNS configuration for forward and reverse lookup zones.
• Configuration and administration of SAMBA/AUTOFS/CIFS/FTP/Users/Permissions.
• Ability to transfer knowledge to 2nd level technical support.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel; SAP interest and learning potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3rd level technical support in line with customer SLAs.
• Suggest best automation solutions for repetitive tasks.
• Daily compute operations (events/incidents/SR/CR/RCA) per ITIL processes.
• Assist 2nd level staff during upgrades/patch activities.
• Server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning, and special configurations beyond automation.
• Manage patches with zypper; address patching issues.
• Proficient in LVM management including extension/resizing and related commands.
• Resolve GRUB-related issues and adjust GRUB configurations.
• Root Cause Analysis for customer incidents.
• Document services/tasks; perform testing, quality checks, and knowledge transfer.
• Assist 2nd level tech support on complex tasks.
• Possible on-call shifts including weekends/public holidays.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver 3rd level technical support in compliance with customer SLAs
• Work with customer on suggesting best solutions for automating any repetitive task.
• Daily Compute operations (Events/Incidents/SR/CR/RCA ..) following ITIL processes
• Help L2 members in-case of any upgrade/patch activity run into errors.
• Server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommission and special configurations beyond automated tasks
• Managing patches through zypper and addressing problems related to patching
• Proficient in LVM management, including the extension and resizing of LVM, and possessing a solid understanding of LVM maintenance commands.
• Capability to resolve GRUB-related issues and address problems with GRUB configuration.
• Root Cause Analysis for customer incidents
• Service/Task documentation, testing, quality management and knowledge transfer
• Assist 2nd level technical support in complex tasks
• Willingness to participate in an OnCall setup which may include weekends or public holidays if required by the project.
