Job summary

Professor Academy seeks a technically strong SEO Analyst to manage and grow organic search presence across traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms.

The role requires expert hands-on SEO, AEO and GEO work, with on-site duties in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. You will lead technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO efforts and collaborate with WordPress and content teams.

Qualifications

• 24 years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of SEO + AEO + GEO.
• Experience managing and optimizing live websites.
• WordPress SEO experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Education / EdTech / Coaching / Lead Generation is an advantage.
• Candidates currently residing in Madurai are strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to work on-site at Kappalur, Madurai.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, rankings and leads.
• Perform Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO and Local SEO.
• Conduct keyword research, keyword mapping, search intent and competitor analysis.
• Optimize WordPress websites, landing pages, course pages and blogs.
• Manage Google Search Console, GA4, Google Analytics, SEMrush/Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, indexing, crawlability, internal linking, schema and structured data.
• Develop AEO strategies for Featured Snippets, People Also Ask, FAQ and conversational search.
• Develop GEO strategies for AI-powered search and generative platforms.
• Optimize content for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI search visibility.
• Build topical authority, entity relevance and high-quality content signals.
• Conduct content gap analysis and competitor SEO analysis.
• Plan and execute ethical link-building and backlink strategies.
• Work with the WordPress, content, social media and digital marketing teams.
• Track organic traffic, rankings, CTR, leads and conversions and prepare SEO reports.

About the Role

Professor Academy is looking for a technically strong and results-oriented SEO Analyst to manage and grow our organic search presence across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands‑on experience in SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and should be currently based in Madurai.
