Job description

Company Overview

LiveRamp is the data collaboration platform of choice for the world’s most innovative companies. A groundbreaking leader in consumer privacy, data ethics, and foundational identity, LiveRamp is setting the new standard for building a connected customer view with unmatched clarity and context while protecting precious brand and consumer trust. LiveRamp offers complete flexibility to collaborate wherever data lives to support the widest range of data collaboration use cases—within organizations, between brands, and across its premier global network of top-quality partners. Hundreds of global innovators, from iconic consumer brands and tech giants to banks, retailers, and healthcare leaders turn to LiveRamp to build enduring brand and business value by deepening customer engagement and loyalty, activating new partnerships, and maximizing the value of their first‑party data while staying on the forefront of rapidly evolving compliance and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and REST/SOAP APIs) to support HR, Payroll, Finance, and downstream business systems, with an emphasis on reliability, observability, and security.
  • Serve as the primary technical owner for key Workday integration domains (e.g., HCM, Absence, Banking, Time Tracking, Talent, and Security), ensuring integrations are versioned, documented, and aligned with LiveRamp’s enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
  • Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to translate business requirements into technical specifications, sequence diagrams, and test plans, driving clarity on edge cases, SLAs, and operational runbooks.
  • Lead the full integration lifecycle—requirements, design, configuration, development, unit testing, system/UAT support, cutover, and hyper‑care—for Workday feature releases, bi‑annual updates, and project‑based enhancements.
  • Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for Workday integrations (including error handling, retries, and data reconciliation), and drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes for production issues.
  • Maintain and optimize data flows between Workday and other enterprise applications (e.g., identity and access management, ATS, compensation, benefits, and data warehouse platforms), ensuring data quality, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Establish and enforce Workday integration development best practices, including code review standards, naming conventions, configuration management, and re‑usable integration patterns.
  • Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation (design specs, interface contracts, configuration guides, dependency maps) and provide knowledge transfer to peers, admins, and support teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline business processes through Workday automation, calculated fields, condition rules, and integration‑driven workflows, and build business cases for proposed improvements.
  • Track and evaluate new Workday integration features and product roadmap changes, assess potential impact to LiveRamp’s ecosystem, and lead experiments or POCs to validate value and feasibility.
  • Define and track key success metrics (e.g., integration uptime, incident volume/MTTR, data defect rate, batch processing times, and audit findings) and regularly report progress to stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR, FINs, and business stakeholders on Workday data structures, integration constraints, and downstream impacts to reporting, controls, and compliance.
  • Apply AI‑assisted development and troubleshooting tools (e.g., code copilots, log analyzers) to speed up integration design, debugging, and documentation while maintaining high quality.
  • Analyze integration telemetry with AI/ML techniques to identify recurring failure patterns, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for smarter alerting and auto‑remediation.
Team Responsibilities
  • Partner with People Operations, Payroll, Finance, Security, and other Business Applications teams to build and maintain the core HR technology foundation that powers the full LiveRamp employee lifecycle—from hire to retire.
  • The team owns the Workday platform roadmap for integrations and is responsible for ensuring data flows are accurate, compliant, and resilient across our global systems landscape.
  • Lead key cross‑functional initiatives such as new country/entity rollouts, M&A onboarding, org restructuring, and global HR process standardization, ensuring Workday integrations are ready to support business change.
  • Provide level2/3 application and integration support, working closely with our internal help desk and operations teams to triage issues, resolve incidents, and continuously improve the stability and usability of our FIN&HR technology stack.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and implementation partners, coordinating technical work, managing release impacts, and ensuring external integrations adhere to LiveRamp’s security and privacy requirements.
  • Continuously refine our operating model, development standards, and delivery practices (Agile/iterative) so the team can ship high‑quality changes quickly while protecting a mission‑critical production environment.
  • Introduce and standardize AI‑enabled practices (log summarization, impact analysis, test generation) that make it easier for the broader team to operate and evolve complex integrations.
  • Partner with security, data, and platform teams to safely adopt AI capabilities that improve observability, resilience, and developer productivity in the Workday integrations space.
About you
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and supporting Workday integrations in a production environment, using tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday Web Services/REST APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience owning end‑to‑end integration flows across at least two domains (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Security, or Financials), including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • You are deeply curious about how systems, data, and business processes fit together, and you naturally dig into payloads, mappings, and logs rather than treating integrations as black boxes.
  • You are hungry to learn and a true lifelong learner—you actively seek out new Workday integration features, patterns, and best practices, and you enjoy sharing what you learn with others.
  • You are a go‑getter who takes ownership of integrations end‑to‑end, follows through on commitments, and is comfortable driving work forward without needing constant direction.
  • You are an experimenter who prototypes, tests, and iterates; you’re comfortable trying new integration patterns or tooling, measuring outcomes, and quickly adjusting based on what you learn.
  • You are systems‑mindful and enjoy thinking in terms of interfaces, dependencies, and edge cases; you naturally anticipate downstream impacts before changing mappings or schedules in production.
  • You are detail‑oriented and disciplined, especially around documentation, testing, monitoring, and change control, and you understand that small integration changes can have big, cross‑system consequences.
  • You are a strong collaborator and communicator, able to translate between business language and technical behavior so stakeholders understand both the “why” and the “how” of data flows and changes.
  • You are calm under pressure and comfortable troubleshooting ambiguous or complex integration issues, methodically working through hypotheses until you find and fix the root cause.
  • You are service‑oriented, finding energy in helping HR, Finance, and business partners be successful through reliable integrations, high‑quality data, and thoughtful support.
  • Curious about AI and automation and comfortable learning new tools (e.g., copilots, log analyzers, or analytics platforms) to boost your impact even if you haven’t used them formally before.
  • Confident in asking questions, running small AI‑assisted experiments (such as log summarization, test generation, or code suggestions), and using data/AI‑generated insights to challenge the status quo and propose better, safer ways of working.
Preferred Skills
  • Workday Pro or Workday Integration/HCM/Financials certification(s), or equivalent advanced hands‑on experience with Workday integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, REST/SOAP APIs) across both HCM and Financials domains.
  • Experience integrating Workday with identity and access platforms (e.g., Okta / Azure AD), ATS/HR tools, payroll/benefits providers, and finance/data platforms (e.g., ERP, billing/collections, Snowflake or similar data warehouse) in a SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with other SaaS applications commonly integrated with Workday at LiveRamp, including ticketing/ITSM, HR service delivery, performance/engagement, learning, and finance‑adjacent tools (e.g., sourcing, CLM, or billing systems), and how they exchange data with Workday HCM and FINS.
  • Experience with modern integration and automation tooling, ideally including an iPaaS/middleware platform such as Workato or SnapLogic, plus basic scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Shell) to support data pipelines, file transformations, and operational tasks.
  • Exposure to both HR lifecycle processes (hire‑to‑retire, org changes, compensation cycles, security/role lifecycle) and finance processes (Source to Pay, Contract to Cash, GL/close), and how these translate into Workday configuration and integrations.
  • Prior participation in Workday bi‑annual releases and major projects, including impact analysis on HR and FINS integrations, regression testing of critical interfaces, and rollout of new capabilities with appropriate monitoring.
  • Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, and other privacy/security frameworks that impact HR and finance data, and experience designing integration‑level controls, logging, and audit evidence to support compliance across both domains.
  • Experience using AI copilots or automation tools in a development or integration context (e.g., generating code snippets, test cases, or documentation) or a strong desire to ramp quickly.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms that leverage AI/ML to detect anomalies or predict incidents across integrations and data flows.
