Job summary

Careernet is seeking an experienced Windows Server administrator and automation expert to enhance Ansible Automation Platform workflows for Windows provisioning, configuration, and orchestration. The role involves designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and PowerShell, and building golden image pipelines across Azure, AWS, and VMware using IaC principles.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Enhance and extend enterprise Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) workflows for Windows provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration.


• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions integrated with PowerShell scripts and Ansible playbooks for automated Windows image baking, testing, and deployment.


• Build and optimize golden image pipelines for Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025) across Azure, AWS, and VMware using Infrastructure as Code principles.


• Own Windows update and patch management infrastructure and execute patching strategies that support GxP compliance reporting.


• Act as Tier 3/4 escalation support for Windows incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive permanent remediation through runbooks and technical documentation.

Skills Required:

• 9 - 15 years of relevant experience in enterprise Windows Server administration and platform automation.


• Azure and AWS experience for hybrid Windows platform deployments and operations.


• DevOps practices with automation-first engineering, including CI/CD pipeline ownership.


• Windows administration expertise, including Windows Server lifecycle management and platform hardening.


• Patching and update management practices for enterprise Windows environments aligned to compliance needs.

Good to Have:

• Python for automation and integration tooling.


• Windows Defender knowledge for security posture and hardening.

Education:

B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, MCA, or related bachelors/masters degree.
