GSPANN in Pune/Hyd is seeking a Systems Engineer (Windows/Azure Focus) to own Windows infrastructure, AD, and cloud services, acting as shift lead for critical incidents and coordinating cross‑functional support. The ideal candidate has strong Windows, AD, and Azure experience, with MoveIT platform skills, incident leadership, and a proactive automation mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of in-depth experience in Windows Systems Administration.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server Admin (2016/2019/2022), AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid cloud.
  • Experience leading shifts and major incident resolution in enterprise IT.
  • MoveIT MFT experience and security/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
  • Lead incident resolution as the shift lead for Windows and Azure incidents.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, AD, and directory-related issues.
  • Support MoveIT MFT platform and secure data transfers.
  • Develop SOPs and automate tasks with PowerShell/Azure.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer (Windows / Azure Focus) to join our Global Capability Center (GCC) team under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) engagement model. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and enterprise platform support, with the ability to act as a shift lead and primary escalation point for complex technical incidents.

This role requires hands‑on experience in managing enterprise‑scale Windows environments, cloud infrastructure, identity services, file transfer platforms such as MoveIT, and ensuring high availability of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities
Windows Infrastructure Management
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems.
  • Proactively monitor server health, performance, and system capacity.
  • Implement and maintain server hardening and security best practices.
Active Directory & Identity Management
  • Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and related identity services.
  • Administer user accounts, security groups, service accounts, and access controls.
  • Support AD integrations with cloud and enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and directory‑related issues.
Microsoft Azure Administration
  • Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, Backup, and Recovery services.
  • Support Azure AD, Azure Security, monitoring, and governance initiatives.
  • Work on hybrid cloud environments integrating on‑premises infrastructure with Azure services.
  • Participate in cloud migration, optimization, and modernization projects.
Incident & Problem Management
  • Act as the Shift Lead and primary escalation point for critical Windows and Azure incidents.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during major incidents and coordinate resolution across technology teams.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational procedures, and escalation protocols.
MoveIT Platform Support
  • Support and maintain the MoveIT Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform.
  • Troubleshoot file transfer failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with application owners and business stakeholders for secure data exchange requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Operational Excellence
  • Own Ticket resolution end to end along with RCA
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
  • Participate in shift operations, on‑call rotations, and production support activities.
  • Automate repetitive administration tasks using PowerShell or Azure automation tools.
  • Collaborate with global infrastructure, network, security, and application teams.
  • Work closely with L3 team to operationalize new designs and automation solutions
  • Should pro active for accelerated progression into

higher Level 3 roles.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
  • 5+ years of indepth experience in Windows Systems Administration.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022)
    • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
    • Azure Infrastructure Services
    • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
    • Windows Security & Hardening
    • PowerShell Scripting
    • Server Monitoring and Performance Management
    • Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
    • MoveIT Managed File Transfer (MFT)
    • Exposure to any of the APM tools is preferred
Cloud & Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Azure networking, storage, and virtual machine administration.
  • Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
ITSM & Operations
  • Experience with Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and enterprise support environments.
  • Ability to lead shifts and manage critical production incidents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (Preferred)
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration
    • ITIL Foundation
  • Experience working in GCC, BOT, or Managed Services environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity controls and compliance standards.
  • Exposure to automation tools and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
