NAB India invites applications for Senior Vice President, CIB Internal Audit, a senior leadership role guiding audit strategy and execution to enhance risk controls across the CIB portfolio. The role partners with HoIA to drive planning, oversee audits, and manage stakeholders.

The incumbent will lead a portfolio of audits, deliver clear reports, coach team members, and ensure timely issue resolution within internal SLAs, while upholding policy and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms.
• CA or FRM or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CIA, ACCA, CISA).

Responsabilités

• Program manage a small portfolio of CIB audits (2-4) within agreed resource and time budgets.
• Contribute to Annual and Dynamic Planning as directed.
• Provide strategic guidance to audit team leads on scope and approach, including pre-planning with the Delivery Head of.
• Draft succinct and clear audit reports.
• Socialise audit report content with business contacts and manage negotiation to finalisation.
• Coordinate verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets.
• Form effective working relationships with business contacts to facilitate delivery of audits.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and career coaching to direct reports.

The Senior Vice President, Internal Audit, is a key leadership role responsible for driving the effectiveness of the internal audit function. This role involves supporting the C&IB Portfolio Head of Internal Audit (HoIA) in strategic planning, overseeing audit execution and managing stakeholder expectations.

Essential capabilities & Skills

• Program manage a small portfolio of C&IB audits (2-4) within agreed resource and time budgets
• Contribute to Annual and Dynamic Planning as directed
• Provide strategic guidance to audit team leads on scope (risks and hypotheses) and approach, including completion of advanced pre-planning in partnership with the Delivery Head of.
• Support team leads to create succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope as per Audit’s plan.
• Draft succinct and clear audit reports.
• Socialise audit report content with business contacts and manage negotiation to audit report finalisation.
• Resolve audit delivery issues escalated by audit team leads and escalated where they cannot be directly solved.
• Coordinate verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicate issues are closed, ensuring this is supported by quality workpapers.
• Form effective ongoing working relationships with business contacts to facilitate delivery of audits.
• Provide timely ongoing performance feedback and career coaching to direct reports.
• Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and elevate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.

Experience

• 15+ years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or FRM or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CIA, ACCA, CISA).
