Key duties and responsibilities
Main Scope
To implement SCOR’s underwriting policy and principles and ensure that risks are assumed on a sound and profitable basis.
Ensure that the underwriting and claims conforms with SCOR Global Life underwriting and claims guidelines
Underwriting proposals within defined authority and TAT
Processing of claims within defined authority and TAT
Referring cases beyond authority to Head of Underwriting & Claims
Conduct audits of the underwriting and claims practices of the direct companies.
Analyze and determine the client’s training requirements in underwriting and claims, and provide customized training accordingly.
Participate in new product development and formulate underwriting and claims guidelines aligned with SCOR’s underwriting and claims philosophy.
Involvement in treaty preparation and assessment of underwriting and claims MIS
To track regulatory development in the India market, study it’s impact and ensure that SCOR India is compliant
Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks, sharing insights and potential business impacts with the broader team
Relationship
Work closely with business development team to enhance client relationships and new business opportunities
Work closely with the claims and the underwriting department of the client companies and brokers.
Maintain interaction with other departments across SCOR (e.g. business development in Singapore and India) in order to contribute to multi-function projects
