Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited seeks a Senior Engineer to contribute to the design and verification of advanced transmission systems (AT/AMT/DCT). The role involves GD&T, 2D drafting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust performance. Proficiency in CAD tools and MATLAB/Simulink is required.

You will work on gear shift interfaces, drive train components, and validation plans, coordinating with manufacturing and project teams to meet APQP milestones and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in auto transmission design.
• Knowledge of GD&T and 2D drafting.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for performance verification.
• FMEA/APQP familiarity and system-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Review GD&T and 2D drawings in Teamcenter for release.
• Contribute to AT/AMT/DCT transmission design interfaces.
• Perform performance verification using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Prepare DFMEA, bench, and validation DVP documents.
• Coordinate with plant team for APQP/MPDS gateway and project timelines.

Senior Engineer - AT/AMT/DCT Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Should know the GD&T and 2D drafting for drawing review and release in Team center
• Should know the basic Engg design, Thermal system of auto/hybrid/ev and able to work on gear shift design
• Should be able to understand and work with Matlab/simulink software for perf verification
• SOR, CIR and Technical synthasis for Electric Drives, Automatic, and its shift systems(by cable and by wire)
• Basics of microcontroller, Communication protocol i.e CAN, LIN,
• DFMEA, Bench and Validation DVP preparation and execution
• Driveline system concern analysis and resolution report preparation
• Should have manufacturing and process knowledge of Transmission Aggregates
• Should be able to work with CFT including plant team and close points wrt APQP, MPDS gateway
• Should Be a team player
• Kissoft for spline and gear design
