Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks an automotive design engineer in Chennai with 2–5 years of experience to contribute to transmission and drivetrain development for auto, hybrid and EV platforms. The role involves GD&T, 2D drafting, and gear shift design.

You'll work with Teamcenter, CATIA, NX and 3DEXPERIENCE, applying MATLAB/Simulink for performance verification and DFMEA activities, while coordinating with plant teams and APQP processes.

Qualifications

• Btech or MTech in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with automotive drivetrain, transmission or electric drives preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and design validation methods.

Responsibilities

• Review and release drawings using GD&T and 2D drafting in Teamcenter.
• Contribute to gear shift design and thermal/drive system development for auto/hybrid/EV.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for performance verification and validation.
• Prepare DFMEA, bench tests and validation plans.
• Coordinate with APQP/MPDS gateway with plant teams and colleagues.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• -Should know the GD&T and 2D drafting for drawing review and release in Team center
• - Should know the basic Engg design, Thermal system of auto/hybrid/ev and able to work on gear shift design
• -Should be able to understand and work with Matlab/simulink software for perf verification
• -SOR, CIR and Technical synthasis for Electric Drives, Automatic, and its shift systems(by cable and by wire)
• - Basics of microcontroller, Communication protocol i.e CAN, LIN,
• -DFMEA, Bench and Validation DVP preparation and execution
• -Driveline system concern analysis and resolution report preparation
• -Should have manufacturing and process knowledge of Transmission Aggregates
• -Should be able to work with CFT including plant team and close points wrt APQP, MPDS gateway
• -Should Be a team player
• -Kissoft for spline and gear design
• -Knowledge of project management
