Job summary

Integra Engineering is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to develop tooling for product manufacturing, focusing on welding jigs and sheet metal processes. You will lead a small team and coordinate with customers to ensure timely delivery and standards adherence.

The ideal candidate holds a BE/BTech with 5–8 years of tooling experience, including CAD (Solid Edge, AutoCAD), packaging/transport solutions, and strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech with 5–8 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in tooling design and development is essential.
• Knowledge of welding, sheet metal, and joining processes is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for status update to NPD incharge
• Deliver engineering deliverables for tooling development and validation on time
• Lead a team of 5–6 members
• Implement tooling for new and existing products for process improvements
• Enhance skills of subordinates in NPD team
• Maintain team discipline
• Define packaging and transportation solutions for new products
• Define internal and external movement equipment for new products
• Communicate technically with CFT and Customer related to tooling

Job description

Nature of Work:

1. Knowledge of Tool design for product manufacturing, preferably Welding and assembly jigs.

2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes which applies on Sheet metal.

3. Knowledge of welding processes and applicable standards

4. Knowledge of Mechanical Joining processes and applicable standards

5. Knowledge of Surface Treatment processes and applicable standards

6. Knowledge of Product packaging for various mode of transportation

7. Knowledge of CAD software, preferable Solid Edge and AutoCAD

8. Can lead customer communication effectively

Key Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for status update to NPD incharge

2.Responsible for timely delivery of Engineering Deliverables for Tooling development and validation

3.Lead team of 5 to 6 members

4.Responsible to implementation of tooling for new and existing products for process improvements

5.Responsible for Skill enhancement of subordinates in NPD team

6.Managing and Maintain Team discipline.

7.Responsible for defining packaging and transportation solutions for new products.

8.Responsible for defining internal and external movement equipment for new products.

9.Responsible for technical communication with CFT and Customer related to tooling.
