Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager with a strong background in Functional Testing to lead large QA teams and ensure successful project delivery. The role focuses on team leadership, delivery management, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project delivery.

The ideal candidate will drive testing strategies, maintain high quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve timely, confident product releases for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 15 to 19 years of Software Testing experience with deep Functional Testing expertise.
• Proven ability in Team Management, Delivery Management and Stakeholder Management.
• Experience handling large QA teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Test Planning, Defect Management, Test Governance and Quality Metrics.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Client-facing experience with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Functional Testing teams across multiple projects and engagements.
• Own end-to-end test delivery, including test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and release sign-off.
• Drive project delivery within agreed timelines, scope, quality standards, and budget.
• Manage stakeholder and client relationships, including communication, expectation management, and escalation handling.
• Oversee resource planning, risk management, and delivery governance activities.
• Collaborate with business, development, and project management teams to ensure successful product releases.
• Define and implement testing strategies, quality metrics, and process improvements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, quality assurance standards, and organizational best practices.
