Job summary

Energy In Motion in Navi Mumbai seeks a skilled EV technician to inspect, service, and repair electric trucks and buses, ensuring roadworthy condition and compliance with safety standards.

The role involves diagnosing electrical/electronic and mechanical issues, working on HV/LV systems, and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot. You will perform CAN fault analysis and support charging-related diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance and breakdown repair of electric trucks and buses.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical issues in EVs.
• Work on high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) vehicle systems, following all required safety procedures.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of battery packs, BMS, motor, motor controller, VCU, DC-DC converter and vehicle wiring systems.
• Identify and rectify issues related to wiring, connectors, sensors, fuses, relays, switches and electrical circuits.
• Use diagnostic tools / scan tools for fault identification and vehicle troubleshooting.
• Understand and troubleshoot basic CAN communication and fault codes.
• Carry out replacement and repair of electrical and mechanical components as per service procedures.
• Support diagnosis of charging-related and vehicle-side electrical issues.
• Conduct preventive checks on vehicle systems and ensure vehicles are maintained in roadworthy condition.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns and provide timely technical support at workshop / customer locations, as required.
• Maintain proper records of service, repairs, breakdowns, replaced components and technical issues.
• Coordinate with Service Engineers / Technical Team for complex technical issues and escalations.
• Follow OEM/service guidelines, safety procedures and standard operating procedures during repair and maintenance activities.
