Job summary

Chubb India is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager / Product Owner (Insurtech) to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of AI-enabled insurance technology products. You will work with engineering, data science, and design to define capabilities, success metrics, and regulatory considerations while driving discovery and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires a strong product background, 12+ years in PM/technical program management, and a track record in AI-powered products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in product management or technical programme management.
• AI product track record is a plus; insurance domain experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for insurance technology products with strong prioritisation decisions.
• Define AI product capabilities, including model behavior, confidence handling, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
• Translate complex insurance problems into crisp, buildable product specifications.
• Define and track outcome metrics for AI features, including model performance and human override rates.
• Drive discovery: user research, stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and hypothesis testing.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, design, and data science as a delivery co-owner.
• Stay close to AI regulatory and compliance landscape and factor into decisions.
• Communicate strategy and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.

Job Title: Senior Technical Product Manager / Product Owner (Insurtech)

Key Responsibilities:

This is a product role for someone who has shipped AI‑enabled products — not managed the backlog for an AI team. You know what a prompt looks like, you have opinions on model selection, you have navigated the "AI works in demo, fails in production" problem. You bring product instincts, insurance domain fluency, and enough technical depth to be taken seriously by engineers and architects. You will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery outcomes for technology products within the insurance domain.

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for insurance technology products — real ownership means writing the hard prioritisation decisions, not just the tickets.
• Define AI product capabilities with precision: what the model does, what it cannot do, how confidence is handled, how humans stay in the loop.
• Translate complex insurance business problems into crisp, buildable product specifications.
• Define and track outcome metrics for AI features — including model performance indicators such as precision/recall thresholds and human override rates.
• Drive discovery: user research, stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and rapid hypothesis testing.
• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with engineering, architecture, design, and data science — you are a co-owner of delivery, not a requirements dispenser.
• Stay close to the regulatory and compliance landscape for AI in insurance; proactively factor it into product decisions.
• Communicate product strategy and trade‑offs clearly to senior business and technology stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Indicative experience: 12+ years in product management or technical programme management.
• Candidates with fewer years of experience but a strong AI product track record are encouraged to apply.
• Insurance domain experience is advantageous.
