Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Technical Lead / Technical Architect with 10+ years of experience in Core Banking. The role demands deep expertise in JavaEE, cloud-native architectures and DevOps, with hands-on work in Kafka, microservices and container orchestration.

You will design, review and mentor on banking applications across digital channels, payments and loan origination. Ideal candidates have strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure), RESTful API design (JAX-RS), and database skills

Qualifications

• Prior exposure to Customer-facing roles or Prospect interactions is MUST
• Willingness to learn and pilot innovations independently with minimal hand holding
• Experience in Defining and maintaining architecture standards and best practices
• Exposure to Apache Kafka, Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools along with hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration
• Strong knowledge of cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud native services
• Good analytical abilities
• Awesome team management skills

Responsibilities

• Defining Technical Solution Architecture of TCS Banking Applications in the area of Core Banking / Payments / Digital Banking / Loan Origination
• Engaging with customers in presenting, defending, enhancing the Technical Solution & Architecture
• Leading a team to deploy TCS Banking Applications in the IT Landscape of customers
• Designing Interfaces between TCS and other applications using the technology and frameworks
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on architectural decisions and implementation strategies
• Develop thought leadership related to technology and architecture in relevance of the domain – Core Banking /Payments/Loan Origination/Digital Banking e.g. architecture for AI in banking etc
• Conducts architecture reviews, code reviews and risk assessments
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Coordinates onsite and offshore teams to keep track of deliveries.
• Provide review on critical technical dependencies on the program
• Monitor the gaps and make the right escalation to stakeholders
• Responsible for Lifecycle Management activity for tech stack for TCS Banking and also responsible for any technology & Infrastructure upgrade

Required Technical Skill Set

• Deep Expertise in JavaEE architecture
