Job summary

Cohire is seeking a Senior Architect with deep expertise in banking and core banking domains to lead architecture strategy and governance. The role focuses on designing resilient, secure architectures using microservices and API-based ecosystems, while aligning with organizational standards and best practices.

The candidate will work within an Agile framework, participating in Tribes & Squads, planning sessions and sprint ceremonies to deliver architectural outcomes across domains.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in banking, accounting, payments or settlements; Core Banking exposure preferred.
• Led or contributed to 3+ core banking projects with microservices and API-based ecosystems.
• Developed and maintained architecture standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Experienced in Agile methods and teams, incl. Tribes & Squads and sprint ceremonies.

Job description

The Senior Architect has a direct reporting line to the Head of Architecture but is also accountable (dotted reporting line) to the Delivery Head & Lead (aka Matrix Manager) in the business/functional domain that is being served.

• 1. Functional Domain - Strong experience in banking, accounting, payments, or settlements. Prior exposure to the Core Banking domain is preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong will to learn and adapt to new domain.
• 2. Must have participated and/or led at least 3 projects designing and architecting resilient, reliable & secure core banking implementations in conjunction with a microservices & API based ecosystem
• 3. Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
• 4. Experience working with Agile Methodologies and in Agile teams, that incorporate
  • -Agile Team concepts such as Tribes & Squads
  • -Agile Ceremonies such as Quarterly Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Refinement & Sprint Retrospective
