Job summary

NVIDIA in Bengaluru seeks a Senior System Software Engineer for its Automotive Team. You will design and implement safety and security compliant configuration and system software for the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, and perform bring-up for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and systems.

You will develop debugging tools, tackle complex cross-component issues, and apply formal methods to ensure high-integrity software. A strong background in embedded systems and languages such as C/C++ is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
• 5+ years of embedded systems experience.
• Experience with QNX and Linux software development.
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for a driver stack.
• Strong Python/C/C++ and Ada/SPARK programming skills.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop safety (ISO26262) and security (ISO21434) compliant configuration software and system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platform for autonomous vehicles
• Perform development & bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and Systems
• Design debugging solutions and tooling to improve developer experience on DRIVE platform
• Architect and implement solutions to sophisticated issues & defects involving interactions between components partitioned across the large software stack
• Use Formal Methods to design and develop high integrity software

What We Need To See

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and more than 5+ years of experience with embedded systems
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for the intended use case
• Good understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals and Ethernet networking
• Strong experience in understanding board schematics, debugging board design issues and experience in engaging with vendors of hardware components
• Strong Python/C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills
• A strong teammate; self-motivated with a positive approach!
