Job summary

NVIDIA Hyderabad seeks a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Automotive Team and help build safe, secure, high‑performance automotive systems for the DRIVE platform. You’ll work on bring‑up, platform software, and cross‑OS integration (QNX and Linux).

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with bootloaders or RTOS. You’ll contribute to ISO 26262/ISO 21434 compliance and tackle complex system challenges across the DRIVE software stack.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems software design and development.
• Strong Python, C, and C++ programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with QNX and Linux software development.
• Experience with bootloaders or RTOS or SoC pre-silicon bring-up is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ISO 26262 safety and ISO 21434 security compliant system software for DRIVE platform.
• Perform bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and systems.
• Architect software for multiple OS flavors within the DRIVE platform.
• Solve complex defects across the large DRIVE software stack.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop ISO 26262 safety and ISO 21434 security compliant system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platform for autonomous vehicles.
• Perform development and bring‑up activities for next‑generation Tegra SOC hardware and systems.
• Architect and design software for different OS flavours where software is unified and scalable on DRIVE platform.
• Architect and implement solutions to sophisticated issues and defects involving complex interactions between components partitioned across the large DRIVE Platform software stack.

What We Need To See

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and more than five years of experience in embedded systems software design and development.
• Proven understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals and embedded software.
• Strong experience in one of the areas of pre‑silicon/bring‑up activities, bootloaders, or RTOS based development or scalable software architectures.
• Strong Python, C, and C++ programming and debugging skills.
• A strong teammate; passionate about work and self‑motivated with a positive approach.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Experience in taking features from inception to product following the software development process and hands‑on experience with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
• Hands‑on experience with bootloaders or RTOS or SoC pre‑silicon/bring‑up.
