Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in India is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for the Automotive Team to advance safe, secure, and high‑performance automotive systems on the NVIDIA DRIVE platform. You will contribute to system software bring-up, platform initialization, and inter‑component integration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in embedded systems, strong C/C++/Python skills, and experience with QNX and Linux. Knowledge of ISO26262/ISO21434 and formal methods is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering with 5+ years in embedded systems.
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for intended use case.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture, OS fundamentals, and Ethernet networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ISO26262 and ISO21434 compliant configuration and system software for NVIDIA DRIVE.
• Perform bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and debugging tooling.
• Architect and implement solutions for cross-component issues across a large software stack.
• Apply Formal Methods to design and develop high-integrity software (e.g., TLA+ with Ada/SPARK).

What you'll be doing:

• Design and develop safety (ISO26262) and security (ISO21434) compliant configuration software and system software for NVIDIA DRIVE platform for autonomous vehicles
• Perform development & bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware and Systems Design debugging solutions and tooling to improve developer experience on DRIVE platform
• Architect and implement solutions to sophisticated issues & defects involving interactions between components partitioned across the large software stack
• Use Formal Methods to design and develop high integrity software

What we need to see:

• BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and more than 5+ years of experience with embedded systems
• Experience configuring a complex virtualized system for the intended use case
• Good understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals and Ethernet networking
• Strong experience in understanding board schematics, debugging board design issues and experience in engaging with vendors of hardware components
• Strong Python/C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills
• A strong teammate; self-motivated with a positive approach!

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in taking features from inception to the product following the Software Development Process and Hands-on experience with ISO26262 and ISO21434.
• Hands-on experience with formal methods, especially using TLA+ and Ada/SPARK toolchains.
