Job summary

Kitron, a leading Scandinavian EMS company, is seeking an IT leader for its Chennai factory. The role focuses on securing and stabilizing local IT infrastructure, leading the IT team, and collaborating with global Corporate IT initiatives.

The candidate will drive cyber security, compliance, and continuity across the factory environment. The position requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, strong technical foundations, and excellent communication.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Optional bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize factory IT systems and infrastructure availability to minimize production disruptions.
• Ensure adequate competency and capacity to operate the factory’s local IT infrastructure and similar capability for service restorations.
• Prevent adversaries from gaining access to Kitron information and digital processing facilities.
• Manage and develop the factory’s IT team (direct reports).
• Participate in Corporate IT initiatives and developments as needed.
• Participate in Local Management Team (LMT) meetings and updates on IT developments and focus areas.
• Oversee IT budgeting aligned with LMT priorities.
• Participate in planning and execution of factory cyber security exercises.
• Contribute to business continuity planning as led by LMT.
• Adhere to hardware/software standards and maintenance programs for local IT infrastructure.
• Build and maintain IT infrastructure with zero trust, high availability, disaster recovery, immutable backup.

Job Description

• Prioritize factory IT systems and infrastructure availability to minimize production disruptions
• Ensure adequate competency and capacity to operate the factory’s local IT infrastructure, and similar capability for service restorations
• Actively work to prevent adversaries from gaining access to Kitron information and digital processing facilities
• Manage and develop the factory’s IT team (direct reports)
• Participate in Corporate IT initiatives and developments as needed
• Involvement with the factory’s Local Management Team (LMT):
• Participate in LMT meetings as needed to stay informed of factory developments and priorities
• Update LMT on IT developments, IT events from previous period, and IT’s focus areas on the coming period that affects the factory
• Actively participate in ensuring compliance towards local, global and customer cyber security requirements, as led by LMT
• IT Budget responsibility for the factory, aligned with LMT priorities
• Participate in planning and execution of factory cyber security exercises
• Participate in business continuity planning, as led by LMT
• Follow Company planned maintenance programs for the factory’s local IT infrastructure
• Adhere to Company hardware/software standards for the factory’s local IT infrastructure, closely aligned with LMT’s investment strategy
• Build and maintain IT infrastructure with focus on zero trust, high availability, disaster recovery, immutable backup, and swift service restoration capabilities

Requirements

• Strong, broad technical foundation
• Solid problem-solving experience
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including working in temporary teams and groups
• Minimum 8 years and maximum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• (Optional) bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
