Job summary

Kitron in Chennai is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist with 3–5 years of electronics procurement experience to manage mass production orders, inventory, ECOs and supplier relationships. The role requires SAP, MS Office and cross‑functional collaboration within a global EMS setting.

You will handle KPI reporting, shortages, RMA support, and training for new staff, contributing to cost efficiency and supplier performance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years’ practical experience in Electronics industry, min. 2 years in procurement or partial sourcing in a complex global environment.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Electronics components category and procurement principles.
• Familiar with ERP system like SAP; computer office skills; EMS industry experience preferred.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills.
• Excellent project management ability.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent teamwork to work in cross-functional, multinational teams.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Lean knowledge or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mass Production Order management against vendor (Release/Confirm/Delivery/Replan/Cancel).
• Inventory management (Excess/Dead Stock/Postpone/Cancellation).
• ECO management.
• KPIs management: OTS, DFE, DIO.
• Handle daily operational issues via email/meetings.
• RMA support on raw material quality issues.
• Support finance on supplier invoice issues.
• Shortages handling/solving/escalation.
• Support sourcing on supplier scorecard for good supplier relationships.
• Purchasing process training for new employees.

Kitron is looking for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team. We are particularly interested in candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience who can potentially join within 30 to 45 days.

Job Description:

• Mass Production Order management against vendor (Release/Confirm/Delivery/Replan/Cancel)
• Inventory management (Excess/Dead Stock/Postpone/Cancellation)
• ECO management
• KPIs management: OTS (On Time Supply) / DFE (Demand Flex Efficiency) / DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding)
• Daily operational issues like email/meeting
• RMA support on raw material quality issue
• Support Financial on supplier invoice commercial issue
• Shortages handling/solving/escalation
• Support sourcing on supplier scorecard for good supplier relationship management
• Purchasing process training for new employees
• Other task assigned by managers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree on Electronics / Electrical or mechanical engineering
• At least 3 years’ practical experience in Electronics industry, Min. 2 years in procurement/or partial sourcing position in a complex global environment.
• Good understanding and rich knowledge on the Electronics components category/electronic manufacturing process/procurement principles & procedures, and global sourcing channel.
• Familiar with ERP system like SAP, computer office skills, experience in EMS industry is preferred
• Good Strategic and analytical skill.
• Excellent project management skill.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills – ability to work in cross-functional groups, preferably multi-national.
• Strong trouble shooting ability.
