Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Manage Windows Server and Linux environments, including system administration, patching, upgrades, and security updates.
• Monitor system performance, availability, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and system logs to ensure optimal operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and infrastructure-related issues and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Administer Active Directory, user accounts, access permissions, group policies, and authentication mechanisms.
• Manage server virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, or Hyper-V.
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Manage system upgrades, firmware updates, change requests, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Support network connectivity, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and other infrastructure-related troubleshooting.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or scripting tools.
• Coordinate with network, storage, database, security, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation, asset inventories, configuration records, and operational reports.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management processes using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for critical system issues and escalations.
• Ensure high availability, system reliability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Participate in on‑call support and rotational shifts, including planned maintenance activities.
• Mentor junior system engineers and support knowledge sharing within the infrastructure team.
