Job summary

The Brain Hawk Consiltant seeks a Senior System Administrator to join our Jaipur-based IT infrastructure team. You will own multi-tenant environments, provide advanced support, manage escalations, and drive complex changes.

You will work across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft 365, with expertise in identity management, cloud, networking, security and automation. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of IT infra or IT operations experience.
• Experience in MSP or large enterprise environment preferred.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Administration.
• Identity & Access Management, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking & Firewalls.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of client environments and resolve critical issues.
• Provide L3/third-level support and advanced troubleshooting for complex server, network, and cloud issues.
• Lead major incidents, coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors, drive resolution.
• Conduct RCA and post-incident reviews with preventive actions.
• Analyse recurring issues and develop permanent infrastructure improvements.
• Design, implement, and validate solutions across identity, access, networking, and security.

Senior System Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team in Jaipur. The role will be responsible for providing advanced technical support across diverse, multi-tenant environments, handling escalated incidents, implementing complex infrastructure changes, and acting as a senior escalation point for the engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, Identity Management, Cloud, Networking, Security, and Automation, along with excellent troubleshooting and client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of assigned client environments and resolve infrastructure- and business-critical issues.
• Provide L3/third-level support and advanced troubleshooting for complex server, network, workstation, identity, and cloud issues.
• Lead major incidents, coordinate with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors, and drive issues through resolution.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews while implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyse recurring/systemic issues and develop permanent solutions to improve infrastructure reliability.
• Assess client infrastructure, applications, systems, and processes and recommend improvements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
• Design, implement, and validate solutions covering:
  • Hybrid Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Microsoft Intune and device management
  • Conditional Access and Identity Governance
  • Networking and Firewall policies
  • Zero Trust architecture
  • Disaster Recovery and business continuity
  • SASE/SWG and SIEM integrations

• Benchmark, tune, and optimise systems for performance, capacity, security, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain automation and operational tools using PowerShell, RMM policies, deployment pipelines, compliance checks, and monitoring solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, knowledge base articles, and change management records.
• Review and approve complex technical changes in accordance with established processes and industry best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical knowledge sharing, and contribute to team readiness and process improvements.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders, including executive-level technical briefings.
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or IT operations, preferably within an MSP or large enterprise environment.

• Experience with security, disaster recovery, Zero Trust, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
• Excellent documentation, analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call/after-hours support as required.
