Job summary

Crestfoods in Chennai seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations for our frozen food business, including procurement, inventory, cold-chain logistics, warehousing, and on-time product delivery.

You will lead a cross-functional team, optimize costs, implement FEFO, manage multiple warehouses, and monitor key performance indicators for efficiency and working capital.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in Frozen Food / FMCG / Food Processing.
• Strong hands-on experience in cold-chain logistics, warehousing, inventory, procurement, and distribution.
• Experience managing multiple warehouses/branches and large-scale distribution operations.
• Knowledge of frozen food storage, temperature control, expiry, wastage, and FEFO.
• Proven experience in cost optimization, vendor management, transportation planning, and inventory control.
• Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, MIS, and supply-chain KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations from procurement to delivery.
• Plan inventory, demand, production, and distribution requirements.
• Ensure proper cold-chain management and frozen product storage.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry, wastage, and product movement.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Warehouse, Sales, and Logistics teams.
• Optimize transportation and distribution costs.
• Develop and monitor vendor and logistics partner performance.
• Ensure timely dispatches and deliveries across branches/customers.
• Implement SOPs to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Track KPIs related to inventory, logistics, OTIF, wastage, and working capital.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

• 812 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in the Frozen Food / FMCG / Food Processing industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in cold-chain logistics, warehousing, inventory, procurement, and distribution.
• Experience managing multiple warehouses/branches and large-scale distribution operations.
• Good understanding of frozen food storage, temperature control, expiry, wastage, and stock rotation (FEFO).
• Proven experience in cost optimization, vendor management, transportation planning, and inventory control.
• Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, MIS, and supply-chain KPIs.
• Should have strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Candidates from Frozen Foods, FMCG, Dairy, Meat/Seafood, Food Processing, or other temperature-controlled supply chains preferred.
• Willingness to travel across branches, warehouses, and distribution locations.
• Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
