Fair Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced General Manager Cold Storage Warehouse to oversee end-to-end operations at our large-scale facility in Ecotech 10, Greater Noida. This role is responsible for cold chain integrity, inventory management, refrigeration plant operations, food safety compliance (HACCP/ISO/FSSAI), manpower management, and export/inbound logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facility & Cold Chain Operations
- Oversee multi-temperature cold storage zones (chilled, frozen, blast freezers) to maintain strict product integrity for perishable goods and export commodities.
- Monitor continuous temperature tracking, data logging, and alarm management systems to eliminate cold-chain disruptions.
- Optimize space utilization, racking layouts, and dock turn-around times for inbound receiving, sorting, palletizing, and dispatch.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Management (WMS)
- Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely fulfillment of domestic distribution and international export shipments.
- Drive strict inventory accuracy through cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO protocols, and real-time ERP/WMS tracking to minimize stock shrinkage and spoilage.
- Coordinate material handling equipment (MHE) deployment, including reach trucks, forklifts, and battery charging infrastructure.
3. Plant Engineering & Maintenance
- Supervise the maintenance of ammonia/Freon refrigeration systems, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and backup power generators (DG sets).
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure 100% operational uptime and optimize energy/power efficiency across the facility.
4. Quality, Safety & Statutory Compliance
- Enforce international food safety and hygiene protocols, including HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, and APEDA standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to local labor laws, industrial safety norms, environmental guidelines, and fire/ammonia safety standards.
- Lead internal and external regulatory, statutory, and client audits.
5. Leadership, Budgeting & Cost Control
- Lead, train, and manage a multi-tiered workforce, including warehouse managers, refrigeration technicians, quality executives, and contract labor.
- Formulate and manage the annual operational budget (OPEX), controlling electricity consumption, labor expenses, and packaging/handling costs.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Agriculture/Food Technology, or a related field. An MBA or post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain/Operations is preferred.
- Experience: 15-20+ years in warehouse operations, with at least 6-8 years in a senior leadership/GM role managing large commercial cold storage units (food, meat, seafood, fresh produce, or pharma).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems (Ammonia/Freon), automated cold store systems, WMS, and ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle).
- Skills: Excellent leadership, vendor management, crisis management, and cost optimization skills.
