Job summary

Aarti Steels is seeking an experienced Scrap Yard Supervisor to lead daily operations at our facility in Odisha. The role involves receiving, unloading, segregating, grading, and stacking scrap, ensuring high-quality material for SMS/EAF processes, and maintaining inventory control.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in scrap yard operations within a steel plant, with alloy steel experience preferred. Strong leadership and coordination skills are essential to drive safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Scrap Yard operations in a steel plant.
• Alloy steel manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of scrap grades, quality identification and segregation.
• Experience coordinating with SMS/EAF operations.
• Good team handling, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Scrap Yard operations.
• Handle scrap receiving, unloading, segregation, grading and stacking.
• Ensure proper identification and quality of scrap for SMS/EAF operations.
• Monitor scrap inventory and material movement.
• Coordinate with SMS/EAF for timely scrap availability and charging.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance within the Scrap Yard.
• Lead and supervise the scrap yard team.
