Job summary

Hanwha Ocean seeks a Senior Structural Designer to lead topside structure detailing for FPSO/FLNG and offshore facilities, under supervision by Principal/Lead Engineers. Proficiency in 3D modelling and tools such as AVEVA/E3D/PDMS is essential.

The role requires coordinating with global engineering teams, reviewing vendor drawings, ensuring accurate As-Built deliverables, and mentoring junior designers to uphold high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore or onshore oil and gas.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience at FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor.
• Minimum 1 FPSO / FLNG/ Offshore EPCI Project experience as a Structural Designer.
• Well versed with structure design tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS.
• ITI/ Draftsmanship/ Diploma in engineering (preferably Civil) or Equivalent.

• Conduct structure detailing, drafting & 3D modelling.
• Thorough understanding of connection details
• Develop Structure Design Database in Engineering Management Platform.

• Review Vendor Documents – related to structure details required for development of drawings.
• Ensure As-Built Structural drawings & 3D model.
• mentor junior designers.

Position Overview:

• Senior Structural Designer conducts Structure design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal/ Lead Designer supervision mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities.
• Senior Structural Designer will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, be an expert in Topsides Structure Details (like connection details, weld details, Tertiary standards, etc.) and Hands-on experience in 3D modelling tools like AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS and 2D AutoCAD.
• The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/Korea and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future.
