Senior Piping Designer

Conducts piping design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal/Lead Designer supervision mainly for topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or offshore facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offshore oil & gas, be an expert in topside piping design, and have hands‑on experience in engineering management platforms (AVEVA E3D/PDMS, etc.)/AutoCAD.

The strategic focus includes providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in the USA, Netherlands, Singapore, India, and elsewhere as necessary – including conceptual, pre‑FEED, and FEED for future offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support to Head of Discipline, Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal/Lead Designers
• Conduct piping design and drafting and 3D modelling
• Develop piping design database in engineering management platform
• Preparation and review of piping study drawings, nozzle orientation drawings, equipment layout, piping GA drawings, isometrics, line list, valve list, special support sketches, special item list
• Participation on 30%, 60%, and 90% model review and comment closure
• Review vendor documents, engineering deliverables, and piping deliverables
• Prepare as‑built piping deliverables
• Provide inputs to lead engineer to manage interface between multiple disciplines
• Check final documentation, including 3D models, drawings, and reports, prior to submission for approval to project piping lead

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ working experience with 3 years’ experience in oil and gas (FPSO contractor or offshore/onshore EPC contractor)
• Well‑versed with piping design tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D/PDMS
• Ability to work with and communicate effectively with co‑workers and manage multiple priorities
• Check specs according to piping and valve material specifications
• Provide bulk MTO and valve MTO to lead piping engineer
• Good understanding of English, with good oral and written communication skills
