Job summary

Hanwha Ocean is seeking an Instrumentation & control engineer to perform detail engineering for onshore projects, petrochemicals and power plants. The role supports design standards, data integration, and project lessons learned across global teams.

You will develop instrument calculations, review vendor documents, and update as-built deliverables while coordinating with senior engineers. Travel to the US, Europe, and Asia is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Instrument/ Electronics & communication or equivalent Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Instrument design Engineering.
• Working experience in Engineering Software - SPI, AVEVA Instrument, Instru- Cal.
• Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Instrument Head of Discipline / Principal Engineer / Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer to manage corporate organization.
• Ensure all engineering documents are prepared and developed in accordance with relevant design code, standard and client’s project specification.
• Manage interface with all relevant disciplines to get necessary information for Instrumentation & control engineering or to provide data to other disciplines for their engineering.
• Develop Project Design Philosophies, Standards, Procedure
• Working in Engineering Software - SPI , AVEVA Instrument, Instru Cal
• Conduct feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, FEED Verification (Inception of EPCI Phase) and EPCI phase Engineering
• Develop Instrument calculations, studies and deliverables
• Review Vendor Documents, Instrument Deliverables and inter discipline documents
• Update as-built Instrumentation & Control deliverables as per red line mark ups received from site and approved design changes, if any.

Position Overview:

• Instrumentation & control engineer conducts the Instrumentation & control detail engineering activities mainly for facilities in Onshore projects, petrochemicals and power plant.
• Instrumentation & control engineer assist the discipline in developing technical standards/procedures, workflow, engineering platform (e.g. Instrument design data integration) and keep them updated, integral, practical and fit to purpose with incorporating Project Lesson Learns.
• Instrumentation & control engineer assists Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer and take instructions to execute the assigned scope of work.
• This role may require frequent travel to the US, Europe, and Asia.
• The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/India and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the future.
