A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, alongside excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Senior/Staff Engineer in NAND Product Development within the Non‑Volatile Engineering (NVE) group, you will be responsible for test flow development and testing strategies with emphasis on Test Chips for Micron’s pioneering 3D NAND memory. You will collaborate with multiple teams, including Test Solutions Engineering for test code development, Design Engineering for test‑mode implementation, and stakeholders for validation and debugging of test‑modes and results through simulation and post‑silicon validation. Your work will provide critical test solutions used to screen quality and reliability failures on Micron’s NAND products.

Responsibilities

• NAND Testchip test flow development and validation
• Run pre‑silicon Verilog (Digital) and Analog design simulations to verify test‑modes
• Define and improve post‑silicon testing methods to address new experimental designs, process or debug issues on devices manufactured at Micron’s R&D and Fab10 Manufacturing facilities
• Perform device characterization and electrical failure analysis (EFA)
• Collaborate with Test Solutions Engineering on test code development
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on test‑mode implementation, pre‑silicon verification and post‑silicon validation of test‑modes
• Collaborate with Process Integration and Yield Engineering to improve overall die yield and meet the critical turning points planned for the Testchip
• Leverage AI tools to automate tools and workflow
• Apply artificial intelligence in workflows to improve build efficiency

Qualifications

• 6‑8+ years of experience in VLSI, semiconductor industry
• Solid background in mixed‑signal VLSI such as analog circuits and systems, digital logic and RTL design
• Excellent data analysis, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Knowledge of Flash memory architecture and operation
• Knowledge of bench testing equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, Nextest Magnum, etc.)
• Knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of Yield3, JMP preferred
• Fundamental programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Python, Perl, Verilog, Verilog‑AMS, WREAL)
• Knowledge of firmware and assembly‑level programming
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Self‑motivated and hardworking
• Validated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong multi‑functional relationships and meet customer needs

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years of confirmed experience
• Coursework in VLSI, semiconductor process, and semiconductor device
