Programmers.io is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server & PostgreSQL DBA to manage, support, optimize, and enhance enterprise database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role requires hands-on expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud-managed services with strong collaboration across DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Database Administration and SQL Development.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server DBA activities supporting production.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures.
• Experience with query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, database migration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar
• Familiarity with database deployment tools, version control, and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities
