Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning to optimize queries, indexing, and resources.
• Perform regular backups and recovery using native PostgreSQL tools and SQL Server tools.
• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions and high availability setups (Replication, Streaming Replication, Patroni).
• Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to performance, connectivity, or data integrity.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
• Implement monitoring using tools like pgAdmin, Prometheus, Grafana, SQL Server Profiler.
• Provide root cause analysis for incidents and preventive measures.
• Mentor junior DBAs and share best practices with cross-functional teams.

• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions and high availability setups (Replication, Streaming Replication, Patroni, etc.)
• Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to performance, connectivity, or data integrity
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
