Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL and PostgreSQL Database Administrator having 5 to 6 years of experience to manage, optimize, secure, and support mission-critical on-premise and/or cloud database environments. The DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability (HA), replication, backup & recovery, writing/optimizing advanced SQL queries and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in MySQL & PostgreSQL internals, replication technologies, and experience supporting production workloads.

Core Technical Skills

• Performance tuning using pg_stat_statements
• MySQL:
  • InnoDB engine internals
  • Replication (async/semi-sync), GTIDs
  • Performance tuning (buffer pool, redo logs, tmp usage)
• Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes (StatefulSets)
  • Knowledge of Citus, TimescaleDB, pgpool-II
  • Familiarity with Cloud DB offerings (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure PG/MySQL)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • EDB certification
