Programmers.io is seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to manage enterprise databases across on-premise and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). The role emphasizes SQL Server with strong PostgreSQL skills and exposure to modern cloud-native services.

The candidate will own critical systems, support migrations, and drive reliability across relational and cloud databases while adapting to evolving platforms. Experience in HA/DR and production ops is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Min 3+ years with PostgreSQL.
• Experience in performance tuning, HA/DR & production systems.
• Min 3+ years with Azure SQL or AWS RDS or similar.
• Exposure to MySQL/MariaDB and cloud-native databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills.

The ideal candidate should operate as a cross-skilled senior DBA, capable of working across multiple database technologies, supporting both SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments in production, and contributing to cloud-native database operations. The role demands strong ownership of critical systems, along with the ability to adapt to evolving database platforms across relational and non-relational ecosystems.
