Position:Senior Sourcing Manager – Wiring and Cable Harness (Automotive Industry)

Organization: Cyient DLM

Experience: Minimum 12 - 15 years

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics OR Mechanical Engineering

KeyResponsibilities:

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of componentsrelated to automotive cable and wiring harness assemblies,including connectors, wires, cables, terminals, and electronicparts.
  
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships , focusing on:
  
• Cable assemblyoutsourcing
  
• Overmolding and toolingfor cable assemblies
  
• Ensure on-time availability of components byproactively coordinating with suppliers and mitigating potential delays.
  
• Drive cost reduction strategies through suppliernegotiations, alternate sourcing, value engineering, and localization.
  
• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Program Management) and OEM customers duringthe development and part approval (PPAP/APQP) phases.
  
• Apply knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ASstandards, and internal sourcing policies in daily operations.
  
• Lead a team of sourcing engineers, setting cleargoals, reviewing performance, and supporting their development.
  
• Continuously evaluate the supplier base forcompetitiveness, risk, capability, and alignment with company goals.
  

PreferredExperience & Skills

• Proven track record in sourcing wiring and cableharness systems in the automotive sector (OEM or Tier-1).
  
• Strong understanding of technical specifications,drawings, and manufacturing processes related to cable assemblies.
  
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills with a focus on achieving target costs and improvingsupplier performance.
  
• Experience working with global suppliers andmanaging component localization projects.
  
• Proficiency in cost analysis, should-costmodeling, and other cost reduction methodologies.
  
• Solid knowledge of sourcing processes, ERP systems(SAP/Oracle), and procurement best practices.
  
• Strong communication and leadership skills, withexperience in leading engineering or sourcing teams.
  
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards in the automotive industry.
